Stars of the Week 02.05.2025

2nd May 2025

This Week at School

It’s been another busy and joyful week! On Tuesday, our P1 pupils had their Health Checks, and our Skill School Club continued with great energy and enthusiasm.

On Wednesday, pupils took part in the All County Hurling Championships, showcasing fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship. Our KS2 pupils also enjoyed Camogie and Hurling Club, honing their skills and having great fun.

On Thursday, Gaelic and Fundamentals Club kept everyone active, and our musical talents were in full swing with tin whistle lessons from George Murphy and singing practice with Aoife as we prepare for the upcoming P7 Leavers’ Mass.

Primary 1s used their imagination to build cities out of materials in the classroom, some brilliant structures.

Friday brought a lovely end to the week. The children were treated to a trip to the park, and we held our weekly assembly where we celebrated our brilliant Stars of the Week—well done to all!

A special highlight of the assembly was a wonderful performance from our World Irish Dancing star in Primary 6, who proudly placed third in the competition. She amazed us all with two beautiful dances, and we were delighted to see her stunning dress, impressive trophy, and medals—what an achievement!

We were also treated to a lovely solo performance from a Primary 1 pupil, who sang a sweet song taught to her by her sister—such courage and talent at such a young age. Well done!

As we wrapped up the week, we celebrated a very special birthday—Happy Birthday to our lovely teacher Mrs Mullan, who we surprised with a song and lots of smiles. Thank you for everything you do, and we hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow!

Reminder: School will be closed on Monday for the Bank Holiday, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday.
