Welcome to our Primary 3 and 4 class at St Mary’s PS Gortnaghey. We are a happy and enthusiastic group of 13 Primary 3 pupils and 12 Primary 4 pupils who learn and grow together under the care and guidance of Miss Doherty. In our Key Stage 1 classroom, we place a strong emphasis on developing independent learners through a balanced, well-structured and engaging curriculum. This supports our children in building confidence, skills and a deeper understanding across all areas of learning. We are very fortunate to be supported by our fantastic classroom assistants, Rachel and Orlagh, as well as our dedicated volunteer, Shelaine. As a class, we prepare thoughtfully for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, and we strive each day to live out and demonstrate our school values.
