This Week at St. Mary’s
As we come near the end of another wonderful school year, we proudly celebrated our Stars of the Week, recognising pupils for their hard work, kindness, and positive attitudes.
We were also delighted to celebrate some wonderful achievements this week. A huge well done to our Primary 6 pupil who was awarded Most Promising Student in singing - a fantastic recognition of her talent and dedication. Congratulations also to our Primary 6 pupil who proudly played at half-time during the Derry vs Meath match, an experience she will never forget. Finally, a big well done to our Primary 3 pupil who received the Players’ Player of the Year 2025/26 Award - a wonderful achievement and a testament to their teamwork and commitment.
We were delighted to welcome four past student into our school this week for their placement. Thank you for spending time with us and getting involved in school life - we hope you enjoyed your experience at St. Mary’s.
A big thank you to Revv It Up for visiting the school and giving pupils the opportunity to design posters and take part in a competition. The children thoroughly enjoyed getting creative, and congratulations to all of our winners!
Well done to our girls who represented the school in the Castle Cup, showing fantastic teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Well done to our boys for a football match, providing another great opportunity for pupils to enjoy sport and teamwork together.
Our end-of-year trip was a huge success! P1–P4 had a fantastic time at Bananas, while P5–P7 enjoyed a trip to the bowling alley. The fun continued with food and a trip to the cinema to watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie. A huge thank you to Brunswick Moviebowl for their excellent hospitality and service throughout the day - the children had an amazing time.
Finally, we said goodbye to our wonderful Primary 7 pupils on their last day at St. Mary’s. We celebrated with a beautiful Leavers’ Mass followed by a special Prizegiving Ceremony, where we reflected on their many achievements and memories made throughout their time with us. We are so proud of each and every one of them and wish them every success and happiness as they begin their next chapter.
