Stars & Highlights of the Week
This Week at St. Mary’s
It has been another busy and exciting week at St. Mary’s! Our pupils have been shining in so many ways, and we are delighted to celebrate our Stars of the Week — well done to each of you for your hard work, kindness, and courage
The children are absolutely loving our Stay and Play sessions, as well as the wide range of clubs that began this week. From football and art to Lego and mindful drawing, there is something for everyone, and it has been brilliant to see so much enthusiasm and energy across the school.
We also revealed the brand-new name for our lion — the symbol of our school value Courage. Thank you to everyone who entered their name for our raffle with such creative suggestions. A special congratulations goes to our Primary 3 pupil, whose fantastic idea has given our lion the name Lizzy. We think it’s a perfect fit!
This week also brought lots of special opportunities for pupils:
- Our P2–P7 School Mass took place on Monday at 1:30pm, with P1 children warmly welcomed to attend alongside their families.
- Pupils enjoyed a wonderful series of recycling workshops led by Causeway Coast and Glens Council, helping us all to think more carefully about how we care for our environment.
- After-school clubs kicked off, including Minecraft (P5–P7), Combat Kids (P3–P7), Lego Club (P3–P4), Art & Crafts (P5–P7), Mindful colouring (P3–P4), and Football (P5–P7).
It has truly been a week filled with learning, creativity, and community spirit — well done to all our pupils for getting involved so enthusiastically.
