What a wonderful week it has been!
Our value mascots had some adventures — Lizzy the Lion roared her way to Africa where she even met a pilot, and our brand-new Determination Turtle finally has a name! Thanks to everyone who entered the raffle, and a big congratulations to our Primary 2 pupil who chose the winning name “Turtle Girl” (T.G.). We also had some brilliant (and hilarious!) contenders — including Timothy and Speedy Sonya — which gave our staff and pupils a good laugh, especially our very own classroom assistant Sonya!
The children have been busy with all sorts of learning and activities this week:
- Outdoor fun — building dens and enjoying fresh air in our school grounds.
- Clubs — Art, Minecraft, Lego, Mindfulness Colouring, and Stay & Play have been a huge hit.
- Whole-class sensory circuits — helping pupils start the day with focus and energy.
- Phonics fun — with Louise and Sounds Write - our children loved learning their new sounds in creative ways.
Friday was extra special as we welcomed some visitors to school — Mrs Murphy, Miss Cassie Mullan with Mrs Mullan, and some of our lovely past pupils who popped in to say hello.
A big congratulations to one of our Primary 7 pupils who was awarded her pen licence this week — a fantastic achievement that shows real effort, pride, and determination in her writing. And of course, we finished the week by celebrating all of our wonderful Stars of the Week, who continue to make us proud with their kindness, hard work, and enthusiasm.
Finally, We celebrated National Classroom Assistants Day today — honouring the amazing work our classroom assistants do every single day. They were treated to tea, buns, and a big surprise — their very own Star of the Week certificates, because they truly are stars all year round. We even had the cutest Star of the Week yet… little Cassie Mullan (12 weeks old!) who stole everyone’s hearts.
