Numeracy Update 2026

27th Jan 2026

Following our successful launch of Timetables Rockstars with our very own Rock concert and Rockstar dress up day, we are keeping the momentum going into 2026!  This year we are introducing a range of new numeracy events and programmes for 2026 aimed at strengthening pupils’ mathematical understanding, Financial capabilities and increasing family engagement.

These include participation in the National Numeracy Programme, which will deliver parent and pupil workshops, as well as fortnightly Family Maths Scrapbook Challenges, designed to get the whole family involved in fun, real-life maths activities at home.

The school has also registered with the Just Finance Foundation and begun a structured Financial Capability Journey using Milo’s Money, LifeSavers Money Adventures and the Five Big Questions programme to support children’s understanding of money, choices and financial wellbeing.

Thank you to all parents and carers who attended our first parent numeracy talk last Tuesday.  Further details will be shared via Just2easy, along with information on the National Numeracy Challenge, which will allow parents to complete a current skills assessment, upskill, and access valuable support in the area of mathematics.

Thank you for your continued support, Ciara Walsh, Numeracy Coordinator.
