News & Highlights of the Week 29.05.2026

29th May 2026

This Week at St. Mary’s

It has been a shorter week in school following the May Bank Holiday, but it has still been packed with learning, fun, and plenty of memorable moments.

We were delighted to welcome the Nerve Centre into school this week. Pupils explored the exciting world of AI and digital creativity, using technology to create and learn in new ways. The sessions were engaging, interactive, and thoroughly enjoyed by the children. A huge thank you to the team for such a fantastic experience.

The lovely weather meant plenty of opportunities for outdoor play, and the children were also delighted with a surprise treat of ice lollies in the sunshine.

We even had some unexpected visitors this week, as a group of wild baby bunnies appeared in the playground! Needless to say, they caused great excitement among the pupils.

A big thank you also to the families who kindly brought in four play kitchens for the school. The children have absolutely loved them, and they have already sparked lots of imaginative play and creativity.

We proudly celebrated our Stars of the Week and pupils who received Times Tables Rock Stars “Going Green” certificates for their fantastic maths achievements.

We hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
