News & Highlights of the Week 15.05.2026

16th May 2026

We proudly celebrated our Stars of the Week, recognising pupils for their hard work, kindness, and positive attitudes across the school.

Our Primary 4 pupils took part in a beautiful First Holy Communion parade for the rest of the school this week. They all looked wonderful, and we hope they had a very special Holy Communion day and enjoyed celebrating together afterwards at their school party.

A huge well done to our girls who competed in the Camogie Championship in Greenlough — another fantastic win! We are so proud of their teamwork, determination, and brilliant effort.

Our P5/6 pupils also enjoyed another great Shared Education session - thank you to Drumrane and St Canice’s, Feeny for joining us.

Well done as well to the girls who took part in the football blitz in Owenbeg, bringing home another great win for the school!

This week, the children took part in a lovely Walking Rosary Procession. A heartfelt thank you to Laura, Paddy, and friends for helping organise such a peaceful and meaningful experience for the pupils.

Our Primary 7 pupils also enjoyed taking part in Intergenerational Art, spending time being creative and sharing conversation together a very enjoyable experience for all involved.

A big thank you to Skill Skool for the fantastic taster day on Friday. The children had a brilliant time getting involved in all the activities and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

We also celebrated Derry Day this week, with pupils coming to school dressed proudly in red and white to show their support for Derry. The school was full of colour and excitement
