News & Highlights of the Week
This Week at St. Mary’s
It has been another busy week across the school, with lots of excitement building ahead of Sports Day on Tuesday. The children have been busy practising their races and activities, and we can’t wait to see them all in action!
This week, pupils took part in Fan the Flame, continuing their faith journey through prayer, reflection, and preparation. We also gathered together for Adoration, taking time for quiet reflection and prayer.
A big thank you to all the families who attended our Primary 1 Information Evening. We look forward to welcoming our new pupils and their families to St. Mary’s.
We would also like to thank Leona and all the staff at Roundabout for inviting Mrs Walsh and some of our P6 buddies to visit some of our new Primary 1 pupils ahead of their September start and to attend their nursery graduation. It was a lovely opportunity to meet familiar faces and help support a smooth transition to St. Mary’s.
A big thank you to Sinéad and Gráinne from Ulster Bank, Magherafelt, for delivering their Thrive Workshop. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and gained valuable skills to support their wellbeing and personal development.
Another big thank you to Caolan, Paul, and Lisa from the RNLI Search and Rescue Team for their visit this week. Pupils enjoyed learning about water safety, the important work carried out by rescue teams, and how to stay safe around water. It was an informative and engaging experience for all involved.
We hope everyone has a lovely weekend and we look forward to an exciting Sports Day next week!
