Milestones & Memories: Celebrating Mrs Murphy and Saying Goodbye

30th Jun 2025

As our school year draws to a close, we say a very special goodbye to someone whose presence has shaped the heart of our school for over 30 years — Mrs Noreen Murphy.

This year, we were honoured to include Mrs Murphy in our Primary 7 Leavers’ Mass, a fitting tribute to the love, dedication, and wisdom she has shared with generations of children. Following the P7 Award Ceremony, we held a special celebration in her honour — and presented her with her very own Golden Book. For years, Mrs Murphy lovingly wrote in the P7 Golden Book, crafting personal words for every child as they left our school. This time, it was our turn to write for her. Parents, staff, pupils past and present, and members of the wider community came together to fill its pages with the love and memories she so richly deserves.

Mrs Murphy, thank you for everything. Your kindness, warmth, and unwavering care have left a lasting mark. You’ll always be a part of our story, and your legacy will live on in every corridor, classroom, and heart.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks and fondest wishes to Geraldine Granleese, our dedicated classroom assistant, and Miss Cara McKeever, our brilliant P7 teacher, who are also moving on. Thank you both for the energy, care, and commitment you brought to our school. You’ve made a difference, and you’ll be truly missed.

Wishing Noreen, Geraldine, and Cara every happiness in the exciting new chapters ahead. From all of us — thank you.
