Cormac Óg’s Winning Visit
Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming back one of our past pupils, Cormac Óg, to St. Mary’s! Cormac returned to share a very special achievement with us—his school’s recent victories in both the MacRory Cup and the Hogan Cup, two of the most prestigious titles in schools’ Gaelic football.
Cormac spoke to the children about the incredible journey he’s been on through sport, highlighting how being involved in a team is not only about winning, but about building friendships, growing in confidence, and developing important life skills both on and off the pitch. His words were inspiring and reminded our pupils of the value of hard work, dedication, and team spirit.
The children were thrilled to see the MacRory and Hogan Cups in person, and we even had the chance to get some fantastic photos with them. Cormac’s visit brought so much excitement to the school, and it was such a proud moment to see one of our own come back to celebrate success and inspire the next generation.
Thank you, Cormac Óg—we’re so proud of all that you’ve achieved, and we look forward to watching you go from strength to strength!
