News & Highlights of the Week 22.05.2026
It has been Assessment Week at St. Mary’s, and a huge well done to all our pupils for their hard work and effort. We are so proud of how they approached each task with confidence and determination.
Our Primary 6 pupils enjoyed a visit to Loreto High School’s Open Day, where they had a fantastic time exploring the school and taking part in the activities. Thank you to Loreto for having us!
The children also enjoyed golf with Skill Skool, continuing to develop their skills while having lots of fun.
A huge congratulations to our girls who once again came home victorious from their Camogie Tournament - another fantastic achievement!
Well done also to our boys who represented the school at the football tournament in Owenbeg.
They reached the final and played brilliantly throughout the day. While they narrowly missed out on the win, we are incredibly proud of their effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Taking part, giving your best, and representing your school so well is an achievement in itself.
As part of National Numeracy Day, led by Mrs Walsh- pupils took part in a range of fun and engaging maths activities, helping to develop their confidence and enjoyment of numeracy.
Our Primary 7 pupils also enjoyed another creative session with Christina from Meraki Art. The children loved getting involved and expressing their creativity through arts and crafts.
To round off a busy week of assessments, classes enjoyed a well-deserved trip to the park as a special Friday treat. The sunshine, fresh air, and smiles made it the perfect way to celebrate all of the children’s hard work.
Our P1–P4 pupils, with fantastic support from our P6 team leaders, worked collaboratively to plan their very own summer fair. Each group created a budget, designed exciting games, and even came up with catchy promotional names to make their fair the best it could be.
We hope everyone has a lovely long weekend!
